Dave Ostrov - Owner

Dave Ostrov

Dave has been around the music scene for most of his adult life. He has been a vocalist/performer, mostly involved with rap, hip hop and beatbox styles. His vision of starting his own recording facility started with the desire to create a space for himself and his performer friends to have a real place to record without the technical shortcomings of private and personal studios. His dissatisfaction with his experiences in commercial studios he visited and recorded in throughout New Jersey fueled his desire to get his own personal and proper space.

With the generous help of his entire family the location was found, the money invested and the professionals brought in needed to create a world class recording space that could both accommodate his needs and provide professional services to the greater New Jersey/New York/Philadelphia area music community. IGM Recording Studio represents the fruition of the dreams of Dave Ostrov fueled by the determination and desire of the Ostrov Family.

Jim "JJ" Mullen has been in the music business for over thirty years. In 1982 he worked for Dynacoustics, a professional audio product manufacturing and production company and in 1984 left to form his own pro audio company Colormix Systems to provide sound reinforcement and stage lighting services for musicians and performing venues. In 1995 he founded digitrack, who's purpose was to provide a variety of musical support services under one roof. digitrack launched both a series of recording studios and retail music services. Later, he founded subsidiaries MulltiMedia Design Group to design/build recording studios, rehearsal centers and sound stages for performance and broadcast and Kensington Audio which operated recording studios in Old Bridge, New Jersey and Foothill Ranch, California, primarily servicing the needs of the television and motion picture industry. Further expanding to offer pro audio rental services as Kensington Audio Concert Productions and retail musical equipment sales as Vintage Guitar Sales and Vintage Gear Sales, Jim continued to expand his reach in the music services industry. In May of 2007 Jim purchased the company that started him in the pro audio business Dynacoustics and today serves as President and CEO of the corporation guiding the pro audio sales and installation teams and manufacturing business. Dynacoustics LLC and IGM Recording Studio are proud to have teamed up with the creative team of KnoWOne and Bill E. Jak, known professionally as Dirty White Productions, to service the needs of our rap and hip hop clientele. Their services are now offered exclusively here through IGM Recording Studios.

For the past 13 years KnoWOne and Bill E. Jak have worked as a creative duo in the music business with rap and hip hop musical style artists. They have worked with countless New Jersey and New York area rap artists as music producers and arrangers in the recording studio helping the artist reach their creative vision, as beat producers composing backing tracks for these artist and as engineers working the technical side of the studio glass.

Their backing track compositions are not cookie cutter, sample and slice Reason products or Propellerhead out of the box beats, but are all original compositions, sample free, and many of the tracks are performed live by professional studio musicians working here at IGM Recording Studios. We hold their work product out to comparison by anyone, which is why many of their compositions have been used by up and coming rap artists in New Jersey and New York.
